What happens when I redeem a new Salto KS Pro voucher while my Site has a valid subscription?

“What occurs when I redeem a new voucher while my Site’s subscription is still active?”

When you redeem a voucher, the existing subscription will terminate immediately, and the new one will take effect.  The system will credit any unused time from the current subscription to the new subscription as outlined in the voucher, establishing a new end date. If the new subscription accommodates more users and/or IQs, we will perform a pro-rata calculation to set the updated end.

What happens when my Salto Subscription Pro Voucher RENEWAL ends?

Once the subscription expires, we will mark all IQs as “unsubscribed.” This status prevents any response to lock requests, and we cannot make modifications to access permissions.

Salto will keep the credentials for Offline Access stored on the locks (which we record in the audit trail) unchanged. Following subscription termination, we will also designate Site users as “unsubscribed,” which prohibits them from opening locks or performing any activities on the site.  However, there is an exception: Site administrators can navigate to Site > Subscription in the menu to review and redeem a new subscription voucher.

How will I know when my Site’s subscription is going to end?

As a Site owner or admin, you can go to Site > Subscription to view the expiration date of the current subscription. Don’t fret, if you own the Site, we will send you email reminders four weeks, one week, and one day prior to the expiration date to ensure you have ample time to renew your voucher.  Howeever, you should not wait to activate your Salto Subscription Pro Voucher Renewal.

What if a new IQ/User is added to the Site while the active subscription doesn’t have available IQ/User slots left?

“You will have the option to add a new IQ/User to the Site. However, if there are no subscription slots available, they will be considered “unsubscribed.”

For the IQ, this indicates that it will not respond to lock requests, and modifications to access rights will no longer be possible. Offline Access credentials assigned to the locks will remain unchanged, based on the audit trail. For Users marked as “unsubscribed,” this means they cannot perform any openings or actions on the Site, except for redeeming a new voucher for an admin/owner role.”
